Kaylee Byrtus Originals

Is unique sound cultivated by the history of KayLee. Living just outside Flint Michigan much of her influence came from nu metal and rap that was popular at the time. She then moved to Northern Michigan where she lived for twenty years. There playing the open mic circuit she developed a folkish sound with vulnerable, fast lyrics and powerful emotions. This is KayLee's third year in the music festival scene, having played on the main stage of Dunesville 2025 being the highlight.  Over the years she has made friends with many talented artists who are the “Hired Guns" in her band “KayLee Byrtus and the Hired Guns”. KayLee Byrtus on rhythm guitar and vocals with many musicians jumping in and out giving their touch on KayLee Byrtus Music. The music itself follows a theme of loss and healing, overcoming obstacles and realizing you are stronger than you ever knew.
